The Macau Jockey Club has programmed the “IACM Lunar New Year Trophy” as Race 3 event of the Saturday, 24 February 2018 day meeting. Cai Shen and MJC staff will start giving out red packets with the maximum amount of $100 on a first-come first-served basis at the entrance of the Racing Complex and the Grandstand an hour before the first Macau race starts. In addition, to celebrate Chinese New Year with racegoers, a worship ceremony and a traditional lion dance will be performed at the Grandstand Forecourt at1:00pm.
Carrying a prizemoney of $350,000, the “IACM Lunar New Year Trophy” is competed by horses rated 85-60 over 1,350 metres on sand.
