Stipendiary Stewards Inquiry - Jockey H Lam

RACE-3 THE WOLFSBURG RATING 95-60 (CLASS 1,2&3) 1800 METRES (190)

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 250 metres whereby by 4 River Control had to be checked and 3 Rose Gold Alloy was hampered. Evidence was taken from the riders of horses 4 River Control (R Maia), 8 Magnapegasus (H Lam) and 3 Rose Gold Alloy (W L Ho). Jockey H Lam pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 250 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 4 River Control which had to be checked and was taken out onto 3 Rose Gold Alloy which was hampered. Jockey H Lam’s license to ride in races was suspended for one racemeeting to cover the meeting of Saturday, 6 April 2019. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey H Lam’s guilty plea, his record, the degree of carelessness and the racing manners of 8 Magnapegasus. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
