Stipendiary Stewards Inquiry - Jockey S Ladjadj

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into a racing incident whereby 4 Taolu Expert was checked over the concluding stages. Evidence was taken from the riders of 4 Taolu Expert (L Corrales) and 8 Thunder Bear (S Ladjadj). Jockey S Ladjadj the rider of 8 Thunder Bear pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that over the concluding stages when using the whip he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent 8 Thunder Bear from shifting in when insufficiently clear of 4 Taolu Expert which had to be checked. Jockey S Ladjadj’s license to ride in races was suspended for 1 racemeeting covering the meeting of Friday, 22 November 2019. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his riding record and the degree of the interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
