“Good Uncle” and “Luen Yat Forever” win the “Lisboa Prelude” and “Macau Gold Cup” respectively

“Good Uncle” and “Luen Yat Forever” won the “Lisboa Prelude” and “Macau Gold Cup” respectively on Saturday, 22 May 2010.

At the “Lisboa Prelude” prize presentation ceremony, Ms Leong On Kei, Acting Chairman of Macau Jockey Club presented the trophy to the winning Owner’s representative. Mr Lee Wai Man, Director of Macau Jockey Club presented the trophies to Trainer P C Kan and Jockey K H Yu. Before the race, Mr Choy Ching Moon, Senior Honorary Racing Steward of MJC presented the Best Performance Mafoo award to the Mafoo of “Happy General”.

At the “Macau Gold Cup” (Group 1) prize presentation ceremony, Ms Leong On Kei, Acting Chairman of MJC presented the trophy to the winning Owner Mr Chan Chi Ming. Dr Rui Jose da Cunha, Director & Secretary General of MJC presented the trophy to Trainer P C Choi. Mr Lee Wai Man, Director of MJC presented the trophy to Jockey M Nunes. Before the race, Mr Lai Chan Cheong, Senior Honorary Racing Steward of MJC presented the Best Performance Mafoo award to the Mafoo of “Ka Lam Fortune”. Later, Mr Lui Siu Mun, Director of MJC presented the $300,000 bonus cheque to Mr Chan Chi Ming, winner of the Macau Triple Crown.

After Race 5, Mr Thomas Li, Chief Executive of MJC presented the HK$100,000 MJC betting voucher to Mr Tse Yick Ho, the winner of the “Guess the First Four” Contest.

Carrying a prizemoney of $350,000, the “Lisboa Prelude” was an event competed by 3-year-olds over a distance of 1,200 metres on turf. There were no allowances for freelance jockeys or apprentices.

Carrying a prizemoney of $1,200,000, “Macau Gold Cup” (Group 1) was an event competed by 3-year-olds and upwards over 1,800 metres on turf. There were no allowances for freelance jockeys or apprentices. “Macau Gold Cup” is the third leg of the Macau Triple Crown.
