3 Silver Baby (H Lam) -Near the 350 metres was brushed by 8 Full Score which was laying in under pressure.
4 Wondermaster (T Appie) -Reared on jumping away and struck its head against the top part of the barrier partition. 4 Wondermaster then landed awkwardly and was immediately retired from the race and taken off the course. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Oh So Easy (K Leung) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Full Score (S Nakano) -Was fractious in the barriers. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race the “Enquiry Sign” was semaphored to allow the Stewards to review the patrol videos of the start of the race to ascertain whether 4 Wondermaster had been afforded a fair start. It was established that when the start was effected 4 Wondermaster reared and struck its head against the top part of the barrier partition. 4 Wondermaster then landed awkwardly and was immediately retired from the race and taken off the course. As the Stewards were satisfied that 4 Wondermaster had been given every opportunity for a fair start, it was declared a runner and correct weight was semaphored. In this incident Jockey T Appie also struck his head on the top barrier partition. After the race the Club’s Medical Officer examined and treated Jockey T Appie who was suffering from a headache. Trainer C F Chan was informed that in view of the barrier manners of 4 Wondermaster it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. In addition he would be required to present 4 Wondermaster to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 16 June 2019.
