2 Star Of Yiu Sun (R Maia) -Proved difficult to load. Trainer C W Choi was informed that a warning had been placed against the gelding for its barrier manners. Raced wide without cover throughout. On entering the home straight was brushed with 4 Prosperity Power.

3 River Sky (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly and was then hampered by 6 Take The Cake which shifted out after jumping awkwardly. Rider reported that at the start when his mount had jumped awkwardly, he lost the use of his left stirrup iron for a short distance and as a result 3 River Sky settled further back than he had anticipated. He added he then rode his mount vigorously throughout and it had responded, however, given the ground lost at the start, he was happy with the efforts shown by 3 River Sky . A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Prosperity Power (K Leung) -On entering the home straight was brushed by 2 Star Of Yiu Sun.
6 Take The Cake (J B Hamel) -Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.
7 Cheerful Companion (L Corrales) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
