RACE-6 THE RUA CINCO DE OUTUBRO RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1800 METRES (42)
The race was rescheduled the start at 4:45PM.

1 Jvala (R Maia) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Stallion Treasure (O Chavez) -Was marginally slow to begin. Near the 200 metres momentarily raced in restricted room between 9 Fort Idaho and 8 Thunder Bear which shifted out. Jockey S Ladjadj the rider of 8 Thunder Bear was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
3 Victory Achiever (F Henrique) - Was marginally slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout.
4 Taolu Expert (L Corrales) - Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight and was unable to establish clear running until near the 200 metres. Was checked over the concluding stages.
5 Autumn Passage (J B Hamel) -Leaving the winning post on the first occasion commenced to race fiercely and a short distance later when being restrained had to be eased away from the heels of 1 Jvala which shifted in. Near the 100 metres was brushed by 2 Stallion Treasure. Was eased over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on the heels of 2 Stallion Treasure which shifted in slightly.
6 Eclair Lucky (D Barros) -Was marginally slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 President King (H Lam) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Thunder Bear (S Ladjadj) -
9 Fort Idaho (K K Lai) - Was eased over the concluding stages when awkwardly placed on the heels of 3 Victory Achiever which shifted in slightly.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into a racing incident whereby 4 Taolu Expert was checked over the concluding stages. Evidence was taken from the riders of 4 Taolu Expert (L Corrales) and 8 Thunder Bear (S Ladjadj). Jockey S Ladjadj the rider of 8 Thunder Bear pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that over the concluding stages when using the whip he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent 8 Thunder Bear from shifting in when insufficiently clear of 4 Taolu Expert which had to be checked. Jockey S Ladjadj’s license to ride in races was suspended for 1 racemeeting covering the meeting of Friday, 22 November 2019. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his riding record and the degree of the interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
