RACE-2 THE DUQUE DE CAXIAS RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1510 METRES (249)
The running distance has been amended from 1500M/Turf to 1510M/Sand. Due to local storm activity, this race was rescheduled to 2:50pm and remaining races were put back 15 minutes.

2 King Of Champions (L Corrales) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Leaving the 200 metres was inclined to hang out when weakening. Rider reported his mount traveled well albeit wide in the run, however when placed under pressure leaving the 450 metres his mount failed to respond and was a beaten horse. He added in his opinion 2 King Of Champions is better suited back on the turf track. A post race swab sample was taken for analysis. A post veterinary examination revealed that 2 King Of Champions had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer P Leyshan was informed that the standard stand down period applies and before being permitted to race again 2 King Of Champions will be required to pass an official Barrier Trial and a veterinary certificate must be produced.
3 Ready Fire (S Nakano) -Was tightened for room on jumping away between 5 Chase Wind which was taken out slightly by 1 Star Of Phoenix which shifted out and 7 Mission Dragon which was inclined to shift in and away from 4 Victory Supreme which shifted in after brushing with 2 King Of Champions.
5 Chase Wind (Y M Choi) -Was inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers at the Stewards request and was passed fit to race.
6 Golden Bullseye (S Ladjadj) -Leaving the 800 metres was inclined to lay in. In the home straight was inclined to lay in under pressure and near the 150 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 4 Victory Supreme.
7 Mission Dragon (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
