RACE-4 THE NATAL RATING 70-45 (CLASS 3) 1050 METRES (251)
The running distance has been amended from 1200M/Turf to 1050M/Sand.

1 Electroplate Alloy (K H Yu) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
2 Grexit (J B Hamel) -Raced fiercely in the middle stages.
3 Sacred Magnate (W L Ho) -Leaving the 500 metres was inclined to lay out. Was checked near the 200 metres. Rider reported that in his opinion his mount is better suited to the turf track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Chak Chak (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Was slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Pearl Lucky (S Nakano) -Shortly after the start had to be eased when racing in restricted room between 2 Grexit which was taken out slightly by 6 Destiny's Choice which shifted out marginally and 3 Sacred Magnate which shifted in. Was inclined to lay in rounding the home turn and bumped with 9 River Treasure which at the same time was inclined to lay out. From the 100 metres to the 50 metres when inclined to lay in raced in restricted room between 1 Electroplate Alloy and 2 Grexit.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 200 metres where 3 Sacred Magnate had to be checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of 3 Sacred Magnate (W L Ho) and 8 Pearl Lucky (S Nakano). Jockey S Nakano the rider of 8 Pearl Lucky pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 200 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 3 Sacred Magnate which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey S Nakano’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings covering the meetings of Saturday, 11 July and Sunday, 19 July 2020 and in addition he was issued a monetary fine of HKD16,000 in lieu of 2 additional racemeetings. In arriving at penalty the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his riding record, the degree of interference and all mitigating factors. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
