3 Ventures Elite (W H Lao) -Leaving the 600 metres commenced to race fiercely and near the 500 metres shifted out and brushed 9 The Prime Fortune.
4 Sweet Bumhan (B Yamzon) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Chinese Hero (K H Yu) -Proved difficult to proceed to the barrier. Trainer C W Choi was informed that a warning had been issued against 6 Chinese Hero for its pre race barrier manners. Jumped away awkwardly.
8 Magic Kid (T Appie) -Was examined behind the barriers at the request of the rider and passed fit to start.
9 The Prime Fortune (W L Ho) -Was slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
10 Take The Cake (C F Chan) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
11 Luen On Success (S Ladjadj) -For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 metres raced ungenerously. Approaching the 950 metres when continuing to race ungenerously had to be steadied away from the heels of 7 Express Pony which shifted in when not fully clear. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards severely reprimanded Jockey L Corrales the rider of 7 Express Pony for permitting his mount to shift in when not fully clear and he was advised that in similar circumstances in future he would be expected to be fully clear of runners when shifting ground. Leaving the 100 metres commenced to shift out under pressure.
12 Luen On Steed (Y M Choi) -Was slow to begin.
