2 Superlative Choice (C L Cheung) -Was inclined to lay in during the early stages and leaving the 1300 metres brushed the running rail. Near the 500 metres raced up onto the heels of 9 Eclair Boom and had to be steadied. Checked near the 250 metres.
3 Beat The Market (Y M Choi) -Had a tendency to lay out throughout and raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.
4 Hyshem (B Yamzon) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Eclair Boom (L Corrales) -Jumped away awkwardly.
10 Oh So Easy (H Lam) -Raced wide without cover until near the 900 metres.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 250 metres where 2 Superlative Choice had to be checked. Evidence was taken from 1 Fortune Flyer (M Tanaka), 2 Superlative Choice (C L Cheung) and 9 Eclair Boom (L Corrales). Jockey L Corrales the rider of 9 Eclair Boom was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 250 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 2 Superlative Choice which had to be checked. Jockey L Corrales’ license to ride in races was suspended for one racemeeting, covering the meeting of Saturday, 6 March 2021. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey L Corrales’ disciplinary record and the degree of interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
