Race Report

RACE-6 THE LEEDS RATING 85-55 (CLASS 2) 1600 METRES (391)

2 Yang Jiang Star (L Salles) –Was obliged to race very wide rounding the first turn.
3 Advance Mission (W H Lao) –Over raced in the early stages. Approaching the 1200 metres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 9 Prosperity Star. Raced keenly in the back straight.
6 Oh So Simple (A Aucharuz) –Raced three wide without cover.
7 Master Kabiddi (M Cangas) –Knuckled badly on jumping away and lost ground.
8 Machmaster (C F Chan) –Poor performance. Rider reported that his mount was a beaten horse from the 800 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed that 8 Machmaster which had been beaten 30 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed an official Barrier Trial.
9 Prosperity Star (R Curatolo) – Gave ground quickly from the 500 metres. Rider was at a loss to explain the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was informed that he would be required to present 9 Prosperity Star which had been beaten in excess of 50 lengths to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 28 August 2016 and the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed an official Barrier Trial.
10 Vancouver Jaguar (B Yamzon) –Was slow to muster speed.
