Race Report

RACE-2 THE FORBES RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1510 METRES (86)

1 Casino Mok (O Chavez) -On entering the home straight shifted out and brushed 5 Yang Jiang Star on a number of occasions.
3 Paradise Gathering (B Yamzon) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that 3 Paradise Gathering, which had been beaten in excess of 33 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
4 Techfaith Warrior (W Smith) -Near the 500 metres was inclined to lay out. Rider reported that his mount travelled well until near the 600 metres, however when placed under pressure his mount was very wayward in its action and in the home straight, shifted in abruptly under pressure on a number of occasions. He added that near the 100 metres his mount was making abnormal respiratory noises and as he had concerns, he elected to ease it out of the race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that he would be required to present 4 Techfaith Warrior to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 9 December 2018.
5 Yang Jiang Star (W L Ho) -Raced wide rounding the home turn. On entering the home straight brushed by 1 Casino Mok on a number of occasions which shifted out slightly.
6 Silver Baby (L Corrales) -Raced wide without cover until near the 1000 where it improved to the lead. Leaving the 250 metres had a tendency to hang out under pressure.
