Race Report

RACE-2 THE DETROIT RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1500 METRES (195)

1 Turquoise Bay (H Lam) -Jumped away awkwardly. Near the 800 metres raced fiercely, shifted out and bumped 7 Thunder Bear.
2 Pearl Win Win (R Maia) -Knuckled on jumping away.
3 Bada Baby (W Smith) - Was marginally slow to begin.
4 Schilleraine (B Yamzon) -Raced fiercely in the middle stages and raced wide without cover leaving the 800 metres. Rider reported that in his opinion his mount did not appreciate tonight’s track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Qipao Queen (L Corrales) -On entering the home straight was held up and unable to establish clear running until leaving the 200 metres.
7 Thunder Bear (J Pescuiso) -Was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start had to be eased off the heels of 8 River Colour. Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 800 metres was bumped by 1 Turquoise Bay which when racing fiercely shifted out.
8 River Colour (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Leaving the 200 metres had a tendency to shift out under pressure.
