RACE-5 THE IPSWICH RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1350 METRES (78)

2 Casino Mok (L Corrales) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Acing Pro (B Yamzon) -Near the 400 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 4 Grexit which shifted in slightly before being corrected by its rider. After considering all of the circumstance the Stewards took no further action.
8 Rivalry (J B Hamel) - Raced wide without cover leaving the 500 metres.
10 Gem Steed (R Maia) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Master Starkiller (D Barros) -Jumped away awkwardly and was then bumped by 2 Casino Mok.
12 Satono Eternal (S Nakano) -When questioned regarding his ride jockey S Nakano stated that he was instructed from the wide draw to settle in a rearward position and have the gelding traveling where it was comfortable. He stated 12 Satono Eternal travelled on fairly in the early and middle stages, however reported from the 600 metres the gelding was awkward in its action and he had concerns that 12 Satono Eternal may have been lame. He added in the home straight he was reluctant to place 12 Satono Eternal under full pressure however he applied the whip leaving the 200 metres, however 12 Satono Eternal continued to feel lame in its action. He added as a result of this he elected to ride his mount hands and heels only over the concluding stages. He further added that on pulling up 12 Satono Eternal stumbled on a number of occasions almost dislodging him. After considering all of the circumstances and after viewing Steward’s footage both during and after the race the Stewards noted his explanation. Trainer K H Leong was informed to present 12 Satono Eternal to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 16th November 2019.
