RACE-5 SELANGOR TURF CLUB GOODWILL CUP RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1350 METRES (102)

1 Luen On Steed (O Chavez) - Rider O Chavez reported that his mount had a tendency to lay out rounding the turns and never travelled at any stage of the race. He further added that in his opinion 1 Luen On Steed is better suited for the turf track.
3 Hugo And Barry (S Ladjadj) - Jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported his mount was slow to begin and shortly after the start felt awkward in its action. He added his mount resented racing in the kickback in the early stages so he elected to position 3 Hugo And Barry wider on the track to avoid the kickback in an attempt to allow 3 Hugo And Barry to travel more comfortably. He added despite this his mount continued to feel awkward in its action and in the home straight he was reluctant to place his mount under pressure as he was of the opinion that 3 Hugo And Barry was lame. A post race veterinary examination of 3 Hugo And Barry revealed that the gelding was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K M Chin was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
4 Lucky Hugo (L Corrales) -Was fractious in the barriers and shifted in on jumping away bumping 7 Circuit Guy.
6 Chins Delight (W L Ho) - Near the 1250 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 2 Premier Choice which shifted out sharply when not fully clear. K H Yu the rider of 2 Premier Choice was severely reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear. A post race veterinary examination revealed that 6 Chins Delight had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer K M Chin was advised that the standard stand down period applies and in addition before being permitted to race again, the gelding will be required to pass an official Barrier Trial and a veterinary certificate must be produced.
7 Circuit Guy (T Appie) - Bumped on jumping away by 4 Lucky Hugo which shifted in. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was advised that the gelding, which was beaten in excess of 40 lengths, will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it performs to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an Official Barrier Trial.
8 Numberone Mingxuan (B Yamzon) - Was slow to begin. Had tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out.
9 Shooting To Pins (J B Hamel) - Jumped away awkwardly and had a tendency to lay in during the early stages.
10 Hostwin Panther (H Lam) -Raced fiercely in the early stages.
