Race Report

RACE-2 THE PARAGUAY RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1510 METRES (158)

1 Superlative Choice (D Barros) -Rider reported that his mount traveled fairly in the run, however leaving the 600 metres was left flat footed when the pace of the race quickened. He added that in his opinion 1 Superlative Choice did not appreciate racing in the kick back and would be better suited back on the turf track.
2 Golden Toruk (W H Lao) -Leaving the 1000 metres raced fiercely for a short distance and had to be steadied away from the heels of 4 Bring Me Glory. Leaving the 800 metres continued to race fiercely and had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Bring Me Glory. Near the 700 metres was bumped by 5 Military Super which had a tendency to lay in.
3 Modena Best (L Corrales) -On jumping way was bumped by 8 River God Choi which was taken out by 6 Premier Choice which shifted out slightly. Raced wide without cover throughout.
5 Military Super (J B Hamel) -Leaving the 800 metres raced fiercely and had to eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 3 Modena Best. Near the 700 metres had a tendency to lay in and bumped 2 Golden Toruk. Rider reported that his mount traveled well until near the 700 metres, however after bumping with 2 Golden Toruk, 5 Military Super dropped the bit and in his opinion lost concentration and failed to respond to his riding proving disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Blackjack Mok (M Tanaka) -Had a tendency to race fiercely in the early and middle stages.
8 River God Choi (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly and was then bumped by 3 Modena Best which was taken out by 6 Premier Choice which shifted out slightly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
