Race Report

1 Fortune Paradise (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Trainer K M Chin was informed that a warning had been placed on 1 Fortune Paradise for its racing manners shortly after the start where it hung out. Rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight was unable to improve. Near the 300 metres was disappointed for a run to the inside of 4 Diamond Glory. Then had to be restrained and shifted out across the heels of 4 Diamond Glory and 5 Tuhao Choice to obtain clear running.
2 Fortune Flyer (W L Ho) -Cast its right front plate during the run.
3 Superlative Choice (S Ladjadj) -Jumped away awkwardly. On entering the home straight was held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running until leaving the 100 metres.
4 Diamond Glory (D Barros) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was informed that he would be required to present 4 Diamond Glory to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 26 April 2020.
5 Tuhao Choice (L Corrales) -Raced wide without cover until near the 900 metres. Leaving the 100 metres shifted out abruptly under pressure before being corrected by its rider. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning had be placed on the gelding regarding its racing manners.
6 Who Dat Singa (K H Yu) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that he would be required to present 6 Who Dat Singa to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 26 April 2020.
8 Lucky Winston (B Yamzon) -Shortly after the start had to be checked when tightened for room between 2 Fortune Flyer which was taken out by 10 Highspot which in turn was taken out by 1 Fortune Paradise which hung out before being corrected by its rider and 11 Association Eighty which after initially shifting in was taken in by 12 Eclair Mirage which was hanging in despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards could not portion blame to any one rider and took no further action other than to place warnings on horses 1 Fortune Paradise and 12 Eclair Mirage for their racing manners. On entering the home straight, for some distance was unable to establish clear running and near the 100 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 9 Garlic And Cayenne and was then unable to establish clear running until nearing the 50 metres.
10 Highspot (W H Lao) -Raced fiercely in the middle stages.
11 Association Eighty (M Tanaka) -Was held up rounding the home turn.
12 Eclair Mirage (S Nakano) -Trainer K H Leong was informed that a warning had been placed on 12 Eclair Mirage for its racing manners shortly after the start where it hung in despite the efforts of its rider.
