Race Report

RACE-2 THE CINCINNATI 2&3YO RATING 40-20 1050 METRES (225)

1 Blue Glory (M Tanaka) -Near 900 metres when racing fiercely close to the heels of 5 Pursuing Eagle shifted out slightly and bumped the hindquarters of 4 Diamond Moonlight which at the same time shifted in slightly.
2 Goal Achiever (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly. On entering the home straight raced greenly and shifted in abruptly and had to be corrected by its rider. Then proved difficult to ride out for a short distance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Take The Cake (L Corrales) -Knuckled on jumping away
4 Diamond Moonlight (W L Ho) -Near the 900 metres shift in slightly and had its hindquarters bumped by 1 Blue Glory which at the same time shifted out slightly. Cast its right fore plate during the run.
6 Cushie Butterfield (D Barros) -Raced greenly in the early stages. Leaving the 500 metres race greenly and made the home turn very wide. In the early stages of the home straight raced greenly, hung in abruptly and had to be corrected by its rider proving difficult to ride out. Trainer N Moore was informed that a warning had been placed on 6 Cushie Butterfield for its racing manners.
7 Joyful Commander (K H Yu) -Shortly after the start had to be steadied when tightened for room by 4 Diamond Moonlight which had a tendency to shift in and away from 6 Cushie Butterfield which was laying in and 1 Blue Glory which was taken out slightly after bumping with 5 Pursuing Eagle which shifted out. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards could not portion blame to any one rider and took no further action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Ventures Elite (F Henrique) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
