Race Report

RACE-1 THE HIBISCUS RATING 35-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1510 METRES (260)

1 Hugo And Barry (J B Hamel) -Approaching the 1200 metres commenced to race fiercely and continued to do so for some distance thereafter. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer K M Chin was informed to present 1 Hugo And Barry to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 13 June 2020 and in addition the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
2 Numberone Mingxuan (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Hung out rounding the home turn.
3 Die Casting Alloy (K H Yu) -Was tightened for room on jumping away between 5 House Of Power and 6 Pride Sprint, both of which shifted ground. Leaving the 1300 metres was hampered when tightened for room between 6 Pride Sprint and 5 House Of Power which hung out and away from 2 Numberone Mingxuan which shifted out slightly when being corrected by its rider. In this incident 6 Pride Sprint was hampered when taken wider on the track.
4 My Golden Boy (F Henrique) -Shortly after the start was brushed by 9 Cookson.
5 House Of Power (Y M Choi) -Leaving the 1300 metres hung out for some distance.
6 Pride Sprint (M Tanaka) -Near the 1300 metres was hampered when taken wider on the track . Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.
7 Thunder Bear (D Barros) -Marginally slow to begin.
8 Honey Biscuit (L Corrales) -Marginally slow to begin.
9 Cookson (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Pat Lee was informed to present 9 Cookson to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 13 June 2020 and in addition the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
