Race Report

RACE-2 THE TOMAR RATING 45-15 (CLASS 4&5) 1500 METRES (303)

1 Diamond Gold (K H Yu) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Mulan Go (T Appie) -Had a tendency to lay out rounding the home turn and when placed under pressure in home straight.
3 Golden Double (J B Hamel) -Was marginally slow to begin. From the 200 metres was inclined to lay out under pressure. Jockey J B Hamel the rider of 3 Golden Double was issued a severe reprimand for failing to fully ride his mount out to the finish of the race. In determining not to issue a more severe penalty, the Stewards took into account 3 Golden Double had a tendency to lay out over the concluding stages.
4 Victory Supreme (F Henrique) -Was held up rounding the home turn and was unable to obtain clear running until near the 200 metres.
5 Qipao Queen (B Yamzon) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Eclair Boom (S Ladjadj) -Near the 1250 metres shifted in slightly and had to be steadied away from the heels of 5 Qipao Queen.
7 Association Eighty (M Tanaka) -Was held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight was disappointed for a run between 4 Victory Supreme and 5 Qipao Queen. Was then obliged to shift in across the heels of 4 Victory Supreme to obtain clear running.
8 One More Again (L Corrales) -Rider was dislodged from his mount after passing the winning post and was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and pass fit to continue riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Victory Achiever (H Lam) -Was slow to begin.
10 Luen On Warrior (W H Lao) -Jumped away awkwardly.
11 Mr Half Lamma (Y M Choi) -On entering the home straight had to be steadied away from the heels of 3 Golden Double which shifted out to improved. Jockey J B Hamel the rider of 3 Golden Double was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Leaving the 100 metres had a tendency to lay in under pressure and had to be shifted in across the heels of 3 Golden Double which at the same time was laying out.
