Race Report

RACE-3 THE BRECHIN RATING 95-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1350 METRES (316)

1 Mujaan (L Corrales) -Rider reported that his mount travelled well until the 600 metres and when asked to improve, responded briefly until near the 500 metres where it began making respiratory noises. He added in the home straight despite his urgings 1 Mujaan continued to make respiratory noises and did not finish off the race as expected. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that he would be required to present 1 Mujaan to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 25 July 2020.
2 Striking Achiever (D Barros) -Shortly after the start laid in and bumped with 6 Tuhao Choice. Rider reported that his mount pulled hard in the early and middle stages and when under pressure in the home straight failed to run on. The Stewards noted his explanation. Trainer K M Chin was informed that he would be required to present 2 Striking Achiever to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 25 July 2020.
3 Oriental Profit (W L Ho) -Near the 1300 metres was brushed by 1 Mujaan which shifted in. Near the 850 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 1 Mujaan which shifted out slightly. Near the 500 metres was obliged to alter course outwards when disappointed for a run between 1 Mujaan and 6 Tuhao Choice which shifted out slightly. Jockey K H Yu the rider of 6 Tuhao Choice was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight and over the concluding stages shifted in slightly and brushed the hindquarters of 6 Tuhao Choice.
5 Desi Style (H Lam) -Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
6 Tuhao Choice (K H Yu) -Shortly after the start was bumped by 2 Striking Achiever which was inclined to lay in. Over the concluding stages had its hindquarters brushed by 3 Oriental Profit.
