Dutch Shell (W L Ho) -Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Rounding the home turn when weakening had to be eased when tightened for room between 7 One Belt One Road which was laying in and 8 Superlative Choice which shifted out before being corrected by its rider. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise both Jockeys H Lam the rider of 7 One Belt One Road and K H Yu the rider of 8 Superlative Choice to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
Luen On Prosperity (S Ladjadj) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
Mountain Eagle (M Tanaka) -Brushed with 9 Californiatreasure on jumping away.
Military Star (W H Lao) -Over the concluding stages shifted out under pressure and brushed 6 Ashkari.
Ashkari (L Corrales) -Was slow to begin. Near the 200 metres had to alter course outwards around the heels of 5 Military Star which shifted out slightly under pressure. Approaching the winning post was eased when brushed by 5 Military Star which shifted out under pressure. Jockey W H Lao the rider of 5 Military Star was issued with a severe reprimand and he was advised he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount in similar circumstances in future.
One Belt One Road (H Lam) -Raced wide rounding the home turn.
Superlative Choice (K H Yu) -Near the 1200 metres raced in restricted room and had to be checked between 7 One Belt One Road which shifted in slightly and 6 Ashkari which hung out and away from 3 Mountain Eagle despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards deemed this to be a racing incident and took no further action.
Californiatreasure (T Appie) -Brushed with 3 Mountain Eagle on jumping away.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey L Corrales the rider of 6 Ashkari (3rd placed horse) against 5 Military Star (W H Lao) being declared 2nd place by the Judge for alleging interference over the final 200 metres. Evidence was taken from Jockey L Corrales and Mr. P Leyshan the trainer of 6 Ashkari and Jockey W H Lao and Mr. Y C Fung the trainer of 5 Military Star. After considering all the evidence and viewing the patrol films, it was established that leaving the 200 metres 6 Ashkari had to alter course outwards around the heels of 5 Military Star which shifted out slightly under pressure. Then approaching the winning post 6 Ashkari was eased when brushed by 5 Military Star which shifted out under pressure. After considering all of the evidence including where the interference took place and the beaten margin of a half length, the Stewards could not be satisfied that had the interference not taken place 6 Ashkari would have finished ahead of 5 Military Star, the objection was dismissed and correct weight was declared on the Judge’s placings.
