RACE-5 THE CHILE RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1600 METRES (263)

1 Superlative Choice (C L Cheung) - Near the 1300 metres was bumped by 10 Broadus which shifted out slightly. Near the 850 metres had a tendency to lay in and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 10 Broadus which at the same time shifted out slightly.
2 Wu Tong Road (M Tanaka) -Shortly after the start made contact with the hindquarters of 5 Fair Dream after being taken in by 3 Copartners Glory which shifted in after jumping away awkwardly. Thereafter was steadied when racing in restricted room between 3 Copartners Glory and 5 Fair Dream which shifted out after having its hindquarters turned. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards placed a warning on 3 Copartners Glory in relation to its racing manners.
3 Copartners Glory (T Appie) -Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in hampering runners to its inside. Trainer K M Chin was informed that a warning would be placed on 3 Copartners Glory in relation to its racing manners.
4 Who Love The Zou (L Corrales) -Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers at the jockey’s request and was passed fit to race. Rider reported that from the 600 metres as his mount had resented racing in the kickback, he attempted to keep his mount balanced until the home straight before making his run. He further added when placed under pressure in the home straight, his mount responded briefly, however did not finish the race off thereafter. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Fair Dream (K H Yu) -Shortly after the start had its hindquarters turned after being bumped by 2 Wu Tong Road which was taken in by 3 Copartners Glory. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 River Shadow (Y M Choi) -Rounding the home turn had to be steadied when tightened for room between 6 Rayson Warrior and 7 Grand Double both of which shifted ground. Both Jockeys J B Hamel the rider of 6 Rayson Warrior and B Yamzon the rider of 7 Grand Double were issued a severe reprimanded and advised to ensure they are sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground.
