RACE-3 THE FO TAN RATING 70+ (CLASS 1&2) 1350 METRES (294)

2 Fasuba (J B Hamel) -On jumping away bumped with 4 Mountain Tiger on two occasions. When questioned regarding the improved performance of 2 Fasuba, Trainer M C Tam stated that in his opinion the drop in weight and tonight’s rain affected track conditions contributed to tonight’s performance.
4 Mountain Tiger (C L Cheung) -On jumping away bumped with 2 Fasuba on two occasions. Near the 1050 metres raced fiercely and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 2 Fasuba. Near the 250 metres shifted in whilst being ridden along and bumped 8 Rock To Road. A short distance later was inclined to shift in and away from 7 Top Mountainlegend and had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 8 Rock To Road. Rider reported that his mount traveled well, however when the pace of the race quickened near the 600 metres, his mount was under pressure and did not respond to his riding. He further added that during the race he had no concerns with his mount’s action, however upon returning to the unsaddling enclosure his mount stumbled on two occasions. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K M Chin was informed that he would be required to present 4 Mountain Tiger to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 26 June 2021.
5 Hostwin Meraki (D Barros) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Top Mountainlegend (M Tanaka) -Was slow to begin.
8 Rock To Road (B Yamzon) -Was marginally slow to begin. For some distance passing the 1000 metres was inclined to lay in and away from 4 Mountain Tiger. Near the 250 metres was bumped by 4 Mountain Tiger which shifted in whilst being ridden along. Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 4 Mountain Tiger was issued a severe reprimand and he was advised that in similar circumstances, he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts.
11 Oriental Joyful (Y M Choi) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
