Race Report

RACE-2 THE LION ROCK RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (298)

2 Star Of City Gold (M Tanaka) -Near the 1650 metres when inclined to race fiercely had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 Association Eight which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey B Yamzon the rider of 1 Association Eight was issued a severe reprimand and he was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground at all times. Leaving the 1500 metres when the pace of the race slowed, continued to race fiercely and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 Association Eight.
5 Guillocharm (L Corrales) -Made contact with the inside barrier partition on jumping away. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Was inclined to lay out under pressure in the home straight.
6 Fantastic Friends (F Henrique) -Was slow to begin. Trainer K M Chin was informed that a warning will be issued to 6 Fantastic Friends in relation to its barrier manners. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Turquoise Square (D Barros) -Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with the inside barrier partition. Rider reported that due to the slow tempo of today’s race, his mount raced fiercely throughout and when the pace of the race quickened approaching the home turn, 7 Turquoise Square was left flat footed and was one paced in the run to the finish.
