RACE-5 THE HUIZHOU RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (349)

1 Global Justice (C L Cheung) -Rider reported that his mount was one paced throughout and in his opinion 1 Global Justice may have come to the end of its preparation and would benefit from a spell.
2 Modena Best (L Corrales) -Shortly after the start was bumped by 1 Global Justice which shifted in. Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 1 Global Justice was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. Near the 750 metres raced up onto the heels of 8 Ronson and had to be steadied. Rider reported his mount was left flat footed from the 500 metres and was one paced thereafter. He added that in his opinion 2 Modena Best may not have handled today’s going. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Fortune Lady (K H Yu) -Rider reported that in contrast to its recent starts, he had to work his mount hard in the early stages today to take up a handy position and in his opinion this contributed to 4 Fortune Lady tiring in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Money Link (J B Hamel) -Jockey J B Hamel pleaded guilty to charge under MJC Rule 14 (xvii)(a) for negligence, in that he failed to ride his mount out fully for approximately four strides over the concluding stages. He was issued with a monetary fine of HK$3,000. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his disciplinary history and that the Stewards could not be satisfied that it cost his mount 4th placing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Still So Cute (B Yamzon) -Proved difficult to load. Trainer M C Tam was informed that a warning would be placed on 6 Still So Cute in relation to its barrier manners.
8 Ronson (F Henrique) -Leaving 1600 metres when inclined to raced ungenerously, shifted out across the heels of 5 Money Link and had to be steadied. For some distance thereafter continued to race ungenerously. Was held up rounding the home turn and in the home straight was unable to establish clear running until leaving the 200 metres.
