Race Report

RACE-5 MACAU GOLD CUP (TRIPLE CROWN - 3RD LEG) OPEN (GROUP 1) 1800 METRES (371)

1 Sacred Capital (W L Ho) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover in the early stages and making the crossing leaving the 1400 metres was taken wider on the track by 6 Pearl Green which shifted out slightly. Rider reported that he was obliged to race wide without cover in the early stages and in the home straight when under pressure, 1 Sacred Capital failed to respond to his riding and in his opinion did not handle today’s track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

3 Kelowna Star (L Corrales) -Leaving the winning post on the first occasion shifted out slightly and had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 7 Number Zero which at the same time shifted in marginally. Was held up rounding the home turn.
4 Top Mountainlegend (K H Yu) -Shifted out under pressure approaching the 100 metres and had to be corrected by its rider.
5 Lover Paradise (M Tanaka) -Jumped away awkwardly.
7 Number Zero (F Henrique) -Bumped with 9 Electroplate Alloy on jumping away.
8 Qian Gua (B Yamzon) -Bumped 12 Simon Fubuki on jumping away.
9 Electroplate Alloy (J B Hamel) -Bumped with 7 Number Zero on jumping away.
10 Hostwin Saturn (W H Lao) -Was slow to begin. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages and raced wide without cover from the 1200 metres.
11 Sacred Magnate (C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly.
12 Simon Fubuki (D Barros) -Was resaddled behind the barriers. Bumped with 8 Qian Gua on jumping away. Made contact with the running rail at the crossing leaving the 1400 metres and leaving the 1200 metres brushed the running rail.
