Race Report

RACE-1 THE STUTTGART RATING 35-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1510 METRES (129)

1 Beautiful Nineteen (W H Lao) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced ungenerously rounding the first turn.
3 Honey Biscuit (S H Huang) -Was slow to begin and shortly after the start brushed with 5 Fair Dream.
4 Fantastic Friends (L Corrales) -Passing the winning post on the first occasion brushed with 6 Rayson Warrior.
5 Fair Dream (C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly and shortly after the start brushed with 3 Honey Biscuit. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
6 Rayson Warrior (S Nakano) -Passing the winning post on the first occasion brushed with 4 Fantastic Friends.
7 Joyful Fighter (T Appie) -Knuckled on jumping away. Near the 1300 metres was checked.
9 Yatholing (K H Yu) -Was slow to begin.
10 Pride Sprint (H Lam) -Passing the winning post on the first occasion had to be eased away from the heels of 2 Ventures Elite which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey Y M Choi the rider of 2 Ventures Elite was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstance in future. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1300 metres where 7 Joyful Fighter had to be checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of 2 Ventures Elite (Y M Choi), 7 Joyful Fighter (T Appie) and 8 The Fat White (Apprentice X C Liang). Jockey Y M Choi the rider of 2 Ventures Elite pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 1300 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 7 Joyful Fighter which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey Y M Choi’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 2 racemeetings covering the meetings of Sunday, 13 March and Saturday, 19 March 2022. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his riding record, the degree of interference and all mitigating factors. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
