Race Report

RACE-2 THE SACRAMENTO RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1510 METRES (172)

1 Danish Star (L Corrales) -Near the 100 metres shifted in slightly and brushed with 9 General Fu Hao which at the same time shifted out slightly. A short distance later again shifted in slightly and bumped with 9 General Fu Hao which at the same time shifted out slightly.
2 Bring Me Glory (S Nakano) -Bumped with 7 Copartners Glory on jumping away. Near the 100 metres was bumped by 4 Pearl Lucky which shifted in when laying in under pressure.
3 Superlative Choice (K F Choi) -Knuckled on jumping and made contact with 9 General Fu Hao. Raced wide rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Pearl Lucky (B Yamzon) -Was resaddled behind the barriers. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight and near the 100 metres shifted in and bumped 2 Bring Me Glory.
5 Yatholing (K H Yu) -Severely Knuckled on jumping away nearly dislodging its rider Jockey K H Yu who became unbalanced in the saddle .
7 Copartners Glory (M Tanaka) -Bumped with 2 Bring Me Glory on jumping away. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K M Chin was informed that 7 Copartners Glory will not be permitted to race for 11 days until such time that a veterinary certificate is produced.
9 General Fu Hao (T Appie) -Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with 3 Superlative Choice. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 Danish Star which was taken in by 8 Ventures Elite which shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice Tesuri the rider of 8 Ventures Elite was issued a severe reprimand and was advised he is to ensure he is sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground at all times. For some distance thereafter raced fiercely on the heels of 1 Danish Star and proved difficult to be settled. Leaving the 100 metres shifted out slightly and brushed with 1 Danish Star which at the same shifted in slightly. A short distance later again shifted out slightly and bumped with 1 Danish Star which at the same shifted in slightly.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race the "Enquiry" sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards to review the patrol footage in the home straight. As the Stewards were satisfied that there were no grounds for any objection, correct weight was declared on the Judge's placing.
