Race Report

RACE-6 THE SAINT LOUIS RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (181)

2 Modena Best (K F Choi) -Leaving the 250 metres shifted out under pressure and near the 200 metres had be corrected by its rider when awkwardly placed on the heels of 10 Golden Wai.
4 Cheers Brothers (C L Cheung) -Raced wide without cover from the 500 metres and rounding the home turn had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 6 Top Mountain Hero which shifted out and away from 9 Joy Joy Partners which shifted to the outside of 7 Restarted to improve.
5 Ronson (L Corrales) -Made contact with the inside barrier partition on jumping away. Was help up rounding the home turn and near the 250 metres shifted out around 6 Top Mountain Hero to obtain clear running and bumped with 8 Spicy Allez on a number of occasions. Near the 75 metres was bumped by 8 Spicy Allez which shifted in under pressure.
6 Top Mountain Hero (Apprentice Tesuri) -Jumped away awkwardly. For some distance approaching the 1400 metres commenced to race fiercely and near the 1350 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Cheers Brothers. When making the crossing leaving the 1400 metres make contact with the running rail and was then steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 4 Cheers Brothers. Then continued to race fiercely for some distance thereafter and near the 1100 metres shifted out after racing up onto the heels of 3 Treasurelakebuddy.
7 Restarted (K H Yu) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Spicy Allez (W H Lao) -Near the 250 metres was bumped by 5 Ronson on a number of occasions which shifted out around 6 Top Mountain Hero to obtain clear running. Near the 75 metres shifted in and bumped 5 Ronson.
10 Golden Wai (S H Huang) -Leaving the 1100 metres had to be steadied and was taken wider on the track by 6 Top Mountain Hero which shifted out when racing fiercely on the heels of 3 Treasurelakebuddy. As the Stewards deemed this a racing incident, no action was taken.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards an opportunity to review the patrol footage of the home straight. As the Stewards were satisfied that there were no grounds for any objection, correct weight was declared on the Judge’s placing.
