Race Report

RACE-6 THE BOMBAY RATING 60-35 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (248)

1 Handsome Alloy (C L Cheung) -Jumped away awkwardly. Rounding the first turn was taken wider on the track by 7 More Than Chef which shifted out after blundering. Near the 450 metres was eased when momentarily racing in restricted room between 7 More Than Chef which was yielding ground and 3 City Gold Planet which shifted out slightly to improve. Blundered near the 400 metres and again at the 200 metres. Rider reported that his mount failed to handle today’s track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Who Loves Sushi (Apprentice X C Liang) -Over the final 100 metres shifted out under pressure whilst being ridden along taking 12 Numberone Mingxuan wider on the track. Apprentice X C Liang was issued a severe reprimand and was advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts.
3 City Gold Planet (L Corrales) -Leaving the 50 metres was obliged to alter course inwards across the heels of 12 Numberone Mingxuan and 2 Who Loves Sushi which were shifting ground outwards under pressure.
4 Chak Chak (Apprentice Tesuri) -Raced wide rounding the home turn.
7 More Than Chef (W H Lao) -Blundered rounding the first turn.
9 Blasting Power (B Yamzon) -Near the 400 metres raced up onto the heels of 8 Still Be Friends and had to be steadied. Rider dropped his whip near the 200 metres.
10 Show Down (A A Rivera) -Was slow to begin.
12 Numberone Mingxuan (Y M Choi) -Near the 1300 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 8 Still Be Friends which shifted in after blundering and was then corrected by its rider. As the Stewards deemed this a racing incident, no action was taken.
