Race Report

RACE-1 THE JODHPUR RATING 40-10 (CLASS 5) 1350 METRES (287)

1 Farmer's Voice (Y M Choi) -Shortly after the start brushed with 9 Yings Fans. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Yatholing (L Corrales) -Rounding the home turn was eased when hanging in across the heels of 11 Rich Supreme.
6 Fortune Fast (B Yamzon) -Knuckled on jumping away. Near the 1300 metres had to be checked. Near the 300 metres was eased inwards away from the heels of 2 Bravo Wind Chaser which shifted in slightly.
7 Lucky Hugo (A A Rivera) -Brushed with 8 Everlasting Goal on jumping away.
8 Everlasting Goal (Apprentice Tesuri) -Jumped away awkwardly and then brushed with 7 Lucky Hugo. Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded for room between 7 Lucky Hugo which shifted in and 9 Yings Fans which shifted out after brushing with 1 Farmer's Voice. Raced ungenerously rounding the first turn. Over the concluding stages shifted out slightly and was then steadied when held up on the heels of 6 Fortune Fast which at the same time shifted in slightly under pressure.
9 Yings Fans (H Lam) -Shortly after the start brushed with 1 Farmer's Voice. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Nathan Success (S H Huang) -Was slow to begin.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1300 metres where 6 Fortune Fast was checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of 2 Bravo Wind Chaser (K H Yu) and 6 Fortune Fast (B Yamzon). Jockey K H Yu the rider of 2 Bravo Wind Chaser pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 1300 metres, he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of 6 Fortune Fast which had to be checked. Jockey K H Yu’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings covering the meetings of Friday, 19 August and Sunday, 21 August 2022. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey K H Yu’s guilty plea, his riding record and all mitigating factors. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
