Race Report

RACE-2 THE OSAKA RATING 60-35 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (293)

2 Winnie Star (Apprentice Tesuri) -Leaving the 250 metres became unbalanced when bumped by 8 Show Down which shifted out around the heels of 4 Golden Unbeatable to obtain clear running. Jockey L Corrales the rider of 8 Show Down was issued a severe reprimand. Apprentice Tesuri the rider of 2 Winnie Star was issued a severe reprimand for failing to ride his mount out fully to the finish of the race. In determining not to issue a more severe penalty the Stewards were satisfied that it had no bearing on the overall placings of the race.
3 Chinese Hero (M Tanaka) -Jumped away awkwardly. Was held up in the early stages of the home straight and was unable to establish clear running until near the 250 metres.
4 Golden Unbeatable (K H Yu) -Raced fiercely in the early stages. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Turquoise Square (H Lam) -Knuckled on jumping away.
6 Ventures Elite (B Yamzon) -Near the 250 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 8 Show Down which shifted out around the heels of 4 Golden Unbeatable to establish clear running when not fully clear. Jockey L Corrales was issued a severe reprimand and was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground at all times. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
