RACE-4 THE GRASS ISLAND RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1050 METRES (71)

4 Racing Brothers (S Nakano)- Jockey S Nakano was questioned as to his riding rounding the home turn, in particular why he angled to the outside of 1 Follow The Nature and 2 Sheng Tong Express on the latter part of the home turn when a run had presented to the inside of those horses. He said that he was of the opinion that those runners would shift in and for this reason, he made the decision to come to the outside at that point. Stewards notified Jockey S Nakano that whilst understanding his reasoning, he must be aware of runs that are opening ahead of him and to be prepared to improve as runs become available.
6 River Pentium (S H Huang)- Jockey S H Huang stated when questioned that he was unable to obtain a position closer to the rail in the back straight as two runners had improved to his inside and his mount laid out rounding the home turn and for this reason, he raced wider that intended.
7 Senior (K F Choi)- Shifted in on jumping and brushed 1 Follow The Nature.
