RACE-2 THE REEFTON RATING 50-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1350 METRES (194)

2 Top Mountain Hero (M Tanaka) - Performed below market expectations. Rider could offer no reason for the mount’s performance.
3 Pearl Big Brother (Apprentice X C Liang) - Laid in in the back straight.
4 Happy Happy Happy (M Alvarez) - Had a tendency to lay in through the middle stages.
6 Bolson (Apprentice Tesuri) - Slow to begin (1L). Apprentice Tesuri was issued a severe reprimand for failing to ride his mount out approaching the winning post. In arriving at the decision, the Stewards were satisfied that it did not affect the result of the race.
7 Superlative Choice (K F Choi) - Slow to begin (1L). After passing the 500 metres, was inconvenienced and had to be steadied when close to heels of 6 Bolson. Had a tendency to lay in in the straight.
8 Big Handsome (Apprentice A Liu) - After passing the 600 metres had to be steadied when placed in restricted room. Performed below market expectations. Rider stated that his mount did not respond when placed under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
