Race Report

RACE-5 THE SAINT LOUIS RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1800 METRES (227)

2 Breeze 'N' Luna (C L Cheung) - A post race veterinary examination revealed 2 Breeze 'N' Luna suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer K M Chin was informed that the standard stand down period applies and prior to racing again 2 Breeze 'N' Luna will be required to perform in an official Barrier Trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards and a veterinary certificate must be produced.
3 Golden Wai (S H Huang) - Raced keenly through the middle stages.
4 Famous Anson (I Poullis) - Trainer W K Lam advised Stewards that he would be instructing the rider to settle in fifth or sixth position. Settled at the rear. Leaving the straight on the first occasion got its head up when being restrained after being placed in restricted room by 7 City Gold Master which rolled in marginally before being corrected.
6 Top Mountainlegend (K F Choi) - Was slow into stride (2L).
7 City Gold Master (C Perkins) - Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and brushed 4 Famous Anson. Got its head up and raced very ungenerously for some considerable distance approaching and passing the 1400 metres.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Prior to correct weight connections of 4 Famous Anson, Jockey I Poullis and Mr. W K Lam trainer, viewed the patrol footage before deciding not to lodge an objection against 7 City Gold Master (C Perkins) being declared the winner. Stewards were also satisfied that there were insufficient grounds for a successful objection and correct weight was declared on the judges’ numbers.
