RACE-3 MACAU STAR OF SAND STAKES (GROUP 1) RATING O 1600 METRES (337)

1 Kelowna Star (M Chadwick) -Near the 250 metres brushed with 7 Oriental Profit. Rounding the home turn shifted out around the heels of 11 Garlic And Chili and bumped 2 Obrigado Mais.
2 Obrigado Mais (W Smith) -Rounding the home turn was bumped by 1 Kelowna Star which shifted out to improve around the heels of the tiring 11 Garlic And Chili. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Advance Mission (F Henrique) -Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost ground.
4 Hostwin Meraki (L Corrales) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality other than that it had cast its right fore plate.
5 Duke Da Vega (S Ladjadj) -Raced wide rounding the home turn. Had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey S Ladjadj was fined the sum of HKD1000 for making a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line.
6 Benevolent Friend (R Maia) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Oriental Profit (K K Lai) -Raced wide rounding the home turn. Near the 250 metres brushed with 1 Kelowna Star.
8 Mujaan (W L Ho) -Proved difficult to load. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that a warning had been placed against 8 Mujaan for its barrier manners.
9 Ojala (K Mizuno) -Raced fiercely in the early stages and leaving the winning post on the first occasion had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 7 Oriental Profit.
10 Porcini (Y M Choi) -Near the 200 metres was shifted out across the heels of 6 Benevolent Friend to obtain clear running.
12 Blackjack Mok (J B Hamel) -Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race and had a tendency to hang out in the early stages.
