Race Report

RACE-1 THE SWINDON RATING 45-20 (MAIDEN) 1200 METRES (111)

3 Mongolian Mok (H Lam) -Was slow to begin. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
6 Canton Rose (W H Lao) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
7 Deep Feel (Y M Choi) -Stood flat footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer C F Chan was informed that in view of the barrier manners of 7 Deep Feel, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 God Of War (C L Cheung) -Leaving the 200 metres shifted in under pressure across the heels of 5 Adorable Huayu.
9 Happy Cat (A A Rivera) -Leaving the 1000 metres lost ground after shifting in on its own accord and made contact with the running rail. Trainers K C Tse/ K S Ho were informed that a warning had been placed on 9 Happy Cat in relation to its racing manners.
10 Iu Cheong Master (S Nakano) -For a short distance after the start was inclined to hang out. Was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn.
11 River Warrior (S H Huang) -Blundered near the 750 metres.
12 Iu Cheong Emperor (K F Choi) -Was slow into stride.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards an opportunity to review the patrol films to ascertain whether 7 Deep Feel (Y M Choi) was afforded a fair start. It was established as the start was effected 7 Deep Feel stood flat footed on its own accord and as result lost considerable ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that 7 Deep Feel had been afforded a fair start, correct weight was declared.
