RACE-3 THE MEERUT RATING 70+ (CLASS 1&2) 1200 METRES (315)

1 Mister Kaopu (L Corrales) -Leaving the 900 metres commenced to race fiercely and near the 800 metres raced ungenerously on the heels of 4 Sheng Li Superstar and had to be steadied.
3 Pearl Green (O Chavez) -Was resaddled behind the barrier. Jumped away awkwardly. Near the 250 metres was shifted out across the heels of 1 Mister Kaopu to obtain clear running. When questioned as to whether there was an opportunity to improve to the outside of 6 Emperor King rounding the home turn, Jockey O Chavez stated that he considered improving to the outside of 6 Emperor King at that point of the race however he was awkwardly placed to the inside of that runner’s heels. He added he would have had to restrain his mount in order to shift out around that runner and in his opinion this move would have halted his mounts momentum and he would have had to cover extra ground which in his opinion would have been detrimental. After considering all the circumstances the Stewards noted his explanation.
6 Emperor King (K Leung) -Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout. Cast its left fore plate.
7 Gunstigmaster (H Lam) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 River Triple (K K Lai) -Jumped away awkwardly.
