RACE-7 THE SOUTHWELL RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (73)

1 Felizmaster (Y M Choi) -Was slow to begin.
2 Mission Vision (S Nakano) -Was slow to begin and then had a tendency to hang out shortly after the start. The Stewards questioned Jockey S Nakano regarding his ride, in particular his apparent lack of vigor in the early stages of the home straight. Jockey S Nakano stated that due to the delay at the start his mount was very slow to begin and failed to muster speed in the early stages. He added throughout the run 2 Mission Vision did not feel comfortable in its action and he was reluctant to place it under full pressure as he endeavored to keep it balanced. He added in the early stages of the home straight he improved into a run to the inside of 4 Diamond Gold and rode his mount hands and heels whilst using the whip down the right shoulder of the gelding until near the 100 metres where he used the whip in a forehand manner, however 2 Mission Vision failed to respond and in his opinion was most disappointing. Whilst the Stewards noted his explanation, he was reminded of his obligations to ride all his mounts in such a manner as to leave no room for query. Trainer Pat Lee was informed that he would be required to present 2 Mission Vision to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 11 November 2019.
4 Diamond Gold (K H Yu) -The start was delayed when 4 Diamond Gold had lost its bridle in the barrier. Was then backed out of the barriers, the bridle was refitted and was then examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Chappo (R Maia) - Was slow to begin. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Blackjack Mok (D Barros) - Was slow to begin.
8 Tuhao Power (L Corrales) -Near the 200 metres when attempting to use the whip Jockey L Corrales dropped his right rein and was unable to regather it until leaving the 100 metres resulting in him being severely unbalanced in the saddle.
10 Yings Fans (H Lam) -Near the 700 metres raced fiercely and had to be steadied away from the heels of 9 Colonel Mordaunt, then had a tendency to hang out and bumped 11 Draft Camp and continued to hang out until entering the home straight and proved difficult to control.
11 Draft Camp (J B Hamel) -Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 700 metres was bumped by 10 Yings Fans which hung out.
12 Luck Of Stratum (S Ladjadj) -Hung out shortly after the start despite the efforts of its rider and bumped 8 Tuhao Power.
13 Infinite Treasure (C F Chan) -Raced wide without cover leaving the 600 metres.
