1 Shooting To Pins (L Corrales) -Near the 1200 metres when racing fiercely had to be steadied away from the heels of 9 River God Choi which shifted in slightly when laying in. For some distance thereafter continued to race ungenerously. Rider reported that his mount was one paced today and in his opinion maybe better suited back to races over 1050 metres. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Grateful Favors (S Ladjadj) -Raced wide without cover from the 600 metres.
4 Pride Sprint (H Lam) -Cast its right front plate.
5 Rayson Warrior (C L Cheung) -Proved difficult to load. Trainer W Smith was informed that a warning had been placed against 5 Rayson Warrior in relation to its barrier manners. Rider reported that shortly after the start he lost the use of his goggles when his jockey cap came off and as a result he had difficulty with visibility throughout the race due to the kickback, and in the home straight he was unable to ride his mount out in his usual manner. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Dare To Be (F Henrique) -Rounding the home turn was buffeted between 2 Grateful Favors which shifted in slightly when laying in and 7 Fortune Giant which was taken out slightly by 3 Highspot which shifted out slightly under pressure.
