2 Master Of Mars (K H Yu) -Was inclined to shift out under pressure in the home straight.
4 Special Charger (L Corrales) -Rider reported that in his opinion his mount failed to handle today’s going. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Chak Chak (F Henrique) -Brushed with 10 Joyful Fighter on jumping away. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Cambodia Star (Y M Choi) -Was brushed by 9 Beauty Life on jumping away and shortly after the start was eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 Golden Key.
7 Dutch Shell (W L Ho) -Shortly after the start blundered in the going and lost ground. Rider reported that near the 600 metres he was struck by a clod which broke his visor, resulting in his vision being impaired for the remainder of the event. Jockey W L Ho was subsequently examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Beauty Life (D Barros) -Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out brushing 6 Cambodia Star. Near the 1000 metres was eased away from the heels of 11 Sheng Li Star which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey C F Chan the rider of 11 Sheng Li Star was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
10 Joyful Fighter (T Appie) -Brushed with 5 Chak Chak on jumping away.
11 Sheng Li Star (C F Chan) -Was resaddled behind the barriers.
