RACE-1 THE SHEUNG WAN RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (315)

1 Beauty Legend (S H Huang) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Lucky Chariot (K F Choi) -For some distance after jumping away, hung out abruptly hampering a number of runners. Trainer W Smith was informed that in view of the racing manners of 2 Lucky Chariot a warning would be issued. After the race Trainer W Smith reported to the Stewards that 2 Lucky Chariot had cast both front plates.
3 Silent Hero (L Corrales) -Was steadied shortly after the start when tightened for room between 8 Midnight Cigar and 2 Lucky Chariot which hung out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards placed a warning on 2 Lucky Chariot in relation to its racing manners.
4 Carry On For Ages (W H Lao) -Brushed with 6 Grande Fortune on jumping away.
5 Fantastic Fortune (S Nakano) -Was slow to begin.
6 Grande Fortune (M Tanaka) -Brushed with 4 Carry On For Ages on jumping away.
7 Fire Emblem (C L Cheung) -Over the concluding stages raced greenly and had to be corrected by its rider.
8 Midnight Cigar (H Lam) -For some distance shortly after the start was hampered by 3 Silent Hero which was taken out by 2 Lucky Chariot which hung out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards placed a warning on 2 Lucky Chariot in relation to its racing manners.
9 Wealthyness (Y M Choi) -Leaving the 900 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 7 Fire Emblem which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey C L Cheung the rider 7 Fire Emblem was issued a severe reprimand and was advised that he would be expected to be sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground at all times.
10 Sheng Tong Master (K H Yu) -On entering the home straight was momentarily eased when racing close to the heels of 2 Lucky Chariot.
11 Happy Cat (Apprentice X C Liang) -Shifted in on jumping away and shortly after the start was then steadied when tightened for room between 4 Carry On For Ages and 8 Midnight Cigar which was taken out by 3 Silent Hero which in turn was taken out by 2 Lucky Chariot which hung out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards placed a warning on 2 Lucky Chariot in relation to its racing manners. Thereafter attempted to buck and dislodged Apprentice X C Liang near the 1100 metres. Trainer M C Tam was informed that in view of the racing manners of 11 Happy Cat, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. Apprentice X C Liang underwent a medical examination and was passed fit to continue his remaining riding engagements today.
