RACE-2 THE SHEK O RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1500 METRES (316)

1 City Gold Master (M Tanaka) -Was fractious in the barriers. Was then taken out of the barriers, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning would be placed on 1 City Gold Master in relation to its barrier manners.
2 Famous Bonus (C L Cheung) -Was slow to begin.
3 Run On Perfection (S Nakano) -Shortly after the start shifted out and brushed 11 Star Of Phoenix.
5 Brother Lian'An (Apprentice A Liu) -Raced fiercely in the middle stages. Made the home turn wide.
6 Eclair Boom (Apprentice Tesuri) -Was slow to begin. Leaving the 1200 metres raced erratically and then leaving the 1100 metres shifted in abruptly and made heavy contact with the inside running rail dislodging Apprentice Tesuri. A post race veterinary examination revealed that 6 Eclair Boom was deceased and that it had suffered an aortic rupture. Apprentice Tesuri who was injured was taken to hospital for further observation and treatment.
7 Ocean Warrior (A A Rivera) -On entering the home straight when inclined to lay in was disappointed for a run between 10 Mountain Eagle and 9 Half Lamma Boss which was taken out slightly by 1 City Gold Master which when awkwardly placed on the heels of 3 Run On Perfection shifted out.
10 Mountain Eagle (W H Lao) -Raced wide without cover from the 600 metres.
11 Star Of Phoenix (H Lam) -Shortly after the start was brushed by 3 Run On Perfection which shifted out.
