RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:

Jockey A Aucharuz pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the MJC Rule 132(i) for careless riding in that at the 900 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 7 Ready Fire which was checked and shifted out taking 3 Capital Protector wider on the track causing 10 Lucky Today to check and loose ground. Jockey A Aucharuz’s licence to ride in races was suspended for period of 1 racemeeting covering the meeting of 24th February 2018 and in addiction was fined the sum of HK$7,000. In arriving at the penalty the Stewards took into account his record, his guilty plea and the degree of the interference. He was informed of his Right of Appeal.
