Stipendiary Stewards Inquiry - Jockey S Ladjadj

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident passing the winning post on the first occasion where 1 Krystrump had to be checked. Evidence was taken from the riders of 1 Krystrump (L Corrales) and 7 Star Of Phoenix (S Ladjadj). Jockey S Ladjadj the rider of 7 Star Of Phoenix pleaded guilty to charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that passing the winning post on the first occasion, he permitted 7 Star Of Phoenix to shift in when insufficiently clear of 1 Krystrump which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey S Ladjadj’s license to ride in races was suspended for 1 racemeeting covering the meeting of Saturday 24 April 2021. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey S Ladjadj’s guilty plea, his disciplinary record and the degree of interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
