Race Report

RACE-1 THE NORWICH RATING SPECIAL (SPECIAL) 1500 METRES (121)
This race was rescheduled to start at 2:05pm.

1 Rosary Diamond (K K Lai) – Jockey K K Lai the rider of 1 Rosary Diamond which was eased down in the straight stated that his mount was never comfortable in today’s heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K M Chin was notified that as the gelding was beaten in excess of 50 lengths, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until its has performed in a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
3 So Happy (L Corrales) –Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that his mount did not handle the track conditions and was a beaten horse at the 1000 metre mark.
4 General's Steed (C Perkins) –Was marginally slow to begin.
5 Treasure Smile (A Calder) – Connections advised Stewards that they had instructed the rider to lead today. Despite being hard ridden through the early stages the gelding was unable to display sufficient speed and settled worse than mid field.
8 Rivers Elite (L Salles) –After passing the 1000 metres was taken wider on the track by 11 Diamond Admire which shifted out.
9 It's A Round World (J Cordero) –Was slow to muster speed.
10 Safe Gold Baby (Apprentice Y M Choi) - Was marginally slow to begin.
