2 Obrigado Mais (W Smith) -Was slow to begin.
4 Invincible (A Calder) - A swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 More Than Happy (J Pescuiso) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Ashkari (M Wepner) -Was slow into stride.
8 Eclair Journey (L Corrales) -Shortly after the start was crowded and checked.
10 River Treasure (R Maia) -At about the 750 metres was crowded by 12 Striking Achiever, shied away and lost ground.
11 My Dream (Y M Choi) -Shortly after the start hung in and crowded 8 Eclair Journey onto 5 More Than Happy resulting in 8 Eclair Journey being checked.
12 Striking Achiever (K K Lai) -At about the 750 metres shifted in and crowded 10 River Treasure which shied away and lost ground. Jockey K K Lai was warned to use more care in future. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance of the last start winner, Trainer K M Chin was unable to offer any tangible explanation for tonight’s performance other than that the horse was up in grade tonight and distance.

Stewards Inquiry & Racing incidents:
Jockey Y M Choi the rider of 11 My Dream pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that he permitted his mount to shift in crowding 8 Eclair Journey (L Corrales) onto 5 More Than Happy (J Pescuiso) resulting in 8 Eclair Journey having to check and lose ground. Jockey Y M Choi was issued with a fine of HK$7,000 in lieu of a one raceday suspension. In arriving at the penalty the Stewards took into account his record, his guilty plea and the severity of the interference. He was informed of his Right of Appeal.
