Locally trained C F Chan commenced his apprenticeship in the 1994/1995 racing season. On 14 May 1995 he scored his first winner in Macau and in the 1996/1997 racing season he had ridden his 50th winner. In January 1998 he was granted a Freelance Jockey’s license by MJC.
His career highlights include winning the Macau Gold Cup aboard Altruistic. Chan also gained international experience riding in Malaysia for a period of time. He can ride at 118 lbs.
